Tintagel Castle

Good Points

Interesting castle ruins with views over the ocean. In the summer you can see dolphins in the water beyond although you'll need a good lens to capture them. There is also a beach in the cove below with a small waterfall running into it.

Things to watch for

The path up to the castle is very steep and quite long.

Points of note

The walk down to the castle is fairly steep; however, there are Land Rovers that take people down and back up. You can park in many places in Tintagel village itself but be prepared for it to be very busy in tourist season. Maybe best to go early or late.
