This spot is where Bill Brandt took his icon photograph, The Snicket. In 1937. A long cobbled slop leads up to a disused railway bridge. Looking up it you can see the sky and the mill to the left which is part of the Dean Clough industrial park.
The slope itself is very slippery in the wet, which is the best time to photograph it. There are stairs on the other side of it.
This is a very popular photospot in Halifax because of the original photograph.
