Seacombe Sands near Gara Rock

Good Points

Westerly views out to Bolt Head, great rock formations, nice length, fab walk from Mill Bay (ideally via the ferry from Salcombe).

Things to watch for

You can drive to the old Gara Rock hotel (might be redeveloped by now though) but its along windy drive from Prawl directon. Better to get the ferry to Mill bay from Salcombe and do the circular (Coast one way, In land the other) walk to and from the ferry. About 3-4 miles in total I reckon. You will need to be fairly able-bodied to access the beach, can be slippery if the stream is high.

Points of note

Can get windy, change your SLR lenses before going on the beach!
