A third of a mile wooded walk leads down to the waterfall, possibly the biggest in Britain. Several viewing platforms allow you to shoot from the pool at the bottom and at the river at the top.Beside the viewing platform there is quite a large rocky area closer to the water so there are a lot of opportunities for different angles.
If there has been a great deal of rain some parts of it may be closed for safety. It is also a good plan to take some grippy footwear if you intend to be climbing over the rocks.
The waterfall has created a natural bowl that can be quite dark in the late afternoon / early evening. Although this can give some nice shots where the sun shoots through the gap and highlights the spray I found it difficult to get a shot I really liked due to the massive difference in light intensity between the rocks and the sun shining between them.
