Fountains Abbey

Good Points

Fountains Abbey is a spectacular ruined abbey set alongside a much later water garden. From the start of the water garden is an impressive, and perfectly framed shot of the Abbey which views also available from a much higher vantage point on the hill. The ruins have dark and light contast and lots of detail that make for some really interesting photographs

Things to watch for

It seems to get very busy with people using the grass so if you want a good photo you really need to get their early.
